The Welsh Triangle UFO Sightings

The Welsh Triangle UFO Sightings

The series of strange UFO and paranormal events that took place at Dyfed, Wales in 1977 had everything. UFO sightings in the air and on land, bright glowing balls of light chasing after cars, and some witnesses also claimed to have seen alien beings walking across fields.

One incident of an alien entity looking through the front window of someone's house. There were also other strange goings-on such as the teleportation of a huge amount of cattle, a UFO seen hovering over a school, and the strange behaviour of electrical items like T.V's, videos, and even cars just stopping working for no reason.

A lot of these events seem real enough, but there was a huge amount of media interest in the Dyfed area when these events were taking place, and some people accused "eager for a great story" reporters and authors, of blowing things up and exaggerating just to boost their viewings and ratings. So many reporters, authors, investigators and newspapers flocked to Dyfed that it created huge confusion to what was real and what was made up.

This was because witnesses to the events had words put in their mouths, some were young and gullible, others had their stories turned into something much more exciting once the newspapers got hold of it. So basically, something strange did happen to begin with, but once all the media attention arrived things got out of hand, and there are now so many individual stories that we will never get to the full truth.

One of the UFO sightings that should be mentioned took place at Broad Haven School. Some pupils of the school aged between 9 and 11 were out playing football at break time. They noticed something in a field close to their school yard, it was reportedly at ground level. The pupils claimed that this object was covered by the surrounding bushes and trees, so they could only see the top of it. But they said it was visible enough to make out that it was a UFO.

It was reported that in total 15 pupils seen the UFO. All the school children described the object as being long and "cigar shaped", but some pupils said there were 3-4 windows around the UFO, others reported seeing many more. Some thought they saw a flashing light on top of the UFO, others said they could hear a low "humming" sound coming from the UFO. A few of the school children said they saw two silver men with spiked ears and wearing helmets near the UFO. One said the figure he saw wasn't very tall, and didn't look very nice either.

At 2pm the pupils all went back to class for their last lesson before the day was over at 3:30pm. Straight after school was finished, the eager pupils went back out to the field where they had seen the UFO earlier in the day. To begin with they couldn't see it, so they wanted to get closer, but this would have involved climbing over a fence and jumping over a stream.

All of a sudden the same UFO was said to of appeared again, popping up from behind a bush, this made all the school children run off scared. This time they said "The cigar shaped object was tugging an object which was silver", it disappeared behind a bush at 2pm the pupils all went back to class for their last lesson before the day was over at 3:30pm.

Many of the children that witnessed both sightings told their parents what they had seen when they got home. One of the children's parents contacted UFO specialist, Randall Jones Pugh, who lived in that area, and he returned to the site with one of the children that witnessed the sighting the same evening, but with heavy rain and night approaching, it seemed more logical to go back in the morning.

Randall Jones Pugh did just that, accompanied by a reporter for the Western Telegraph Newspaper. No trace of anything was found. However, the children that seen the object were told by their school headmaster to draw what they had seen, the main theme of all the witnesses drawings was a silver cigar shaped object with a dome on top.

A few weeks later, one of the teachers spotted an object in the same place that the children had seen the UFO. The teacher seen the object for 4-5 seconds, and in heavy rain. She thought about notifying others, but all of a sudden the object flew away, making a humming sound. On the very same day, two dinner ladies that worked at the school seen an object in the same place, they even saw a entity climb aboard, and they then watched it move up an incline.

These two dinner ladies did not think for a second that they were watching a UFO, instead they just thought it was some kind of vehicle used by the sewage works which was located near that area. When asked afterwards the two dinner ladies would not accept that what they saw was a UFO.

There were many other strange incidents in the Dyfed area, as many as 45 were reported. There wasn't a week go by without a new sighting. Newspaper and press were present almost every day. UFO investigators were all over the place.

Here are two other sightings that happened in Dyfed, Wales, 1977.

A 64-year-old man was woken up to a weird orange light throbbing in his bedroom. It was a reflection, this light was coming from outside. He got out of bed to look outside at what it was, and he saw two silver objects, one like a big Easter egg, the other abject was shaped like a very tall man in a silver, all in one suit.

They were both at chimney level of the houses. They both were still in the air for around 25 minutes, and after that they moved away sideways and just drifted away.

Stephen Taylor, aged 17, seen a UFO that looked like a ball of light. He travelled to a mates house to tell them about what he had seen, but they didn't believe him. A little while after in a field he saw a big UFO. Stopping to check it out he was confronted by a man-like figure, wearing an all-in-one suit and a helmet. Stephen was scared stiff, but managed to actually throw a punch at the man-like entity. Stephens own words: "I just took a swing at it and ran".

The Welsh Triangle UFO Sightings

Gaynor Sunderland, aged nine at the time, came home out of breath and hardly able to speak back in 1976. After she calmed down she told her mother Marion that she had encountered a very strange looking silver disk shaped object that landed in a field. The UFO sighting wasn't that far away from her home in Flint, North Wales. When Gaynor seen the object land she hid in a bush and peeped at the object through a gap in the leaves.

Gaynor went on to describe that she saw a man and a woman dressed in silver suits come out from the UFO and start to take samples of the ground. Gaynor said they were short beings, strangely shaped, and had big pink eyes.

The UFO was fairly big and had a row of windows going round the side, and also has some kind of flashing light on the top. Gaynor said as the UFO departed it made a humming noise.
Gaynor and her family kept quiet about this story for quite some time, scared of being called liars, but after a while they started to share the story. Gaynor was hypnotized on two occasions and questioned about the sighting.

Do you have an explanation of what she seen? If what she saw was a government craft with two humans onboard, why would they be taking samples of the ground?
